Castello di Borgo Monticelli
Please contact us for prices that include breakfast, daily cleaning of the suite, use of swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

This small medieval settlement, known as Monticelli, dates back to the early 12th century.

The oldest of these buildings are made up of three military towers constructed between the 12th and 13th century, with walls that are 1.2 meters thick.

A beautiful hall with a gothic ceiling dated from the year 1230 is situated on the ground floor of the largest tower. The rooms and suites preserve the original characteristics of a medieval borgo, and all offer superior comfort, with good taste providing a relaxed and pleasant stay.

Our suites are very spacious and offer splendid panoramas over Perugia and the underlying valley. They are made up of a bedroom, a gracious living room and a private bathroom. Some of the suites have a fireplace in the sitting room and/or a private garden; others are situated in the towers, with the antique walls clearly in sight. The bathrooms are large and painted with the original Umbrian colours. The small private gardens and the wonderful park adds to the unique atmosphere that you will find here. Whoever wishes can have breakfast in the gothic hall situated in the largest tower.

Castello di Spaltenna
230Eu Double to 540Eu for a Grand Suite, including breakfast, tax and service.

This magical Castle has both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a sauna, a well equipped gym, and all sleeping rooms are air-conditioned (public rooms in the castle are not air-conditioned).

Located in a medieval hamlet in the heart of the Chianti countryside, the castle dates to 1030.

All rooms are fully equipped and for families, there are connecting rooms as well as a bi-level junior suite with a lofted single bed.

Meals are served outdoors during warm weather, and the restaurant here enjoys an excellent reputation. In the historic part of the castle, where the restaurant is located, there is also a full service bar on the ground floor.

One of the most unusual accommodations available in Italy is the Torre di Vertine, located one kilometer from the castle in the tiny village of Vertine. The 200 foot tall tower - dating to 970 B.C. - has been converted into a dramatic (vertical!) two-bedroom two-bathroom "suite" with the facilities of a house. There are six levels for the guests, a fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor Jacuzzi and sun terrace, even a staff person to prepare meals (food items are not included). The view of the fields and meadows of Tuscany is incredible. Rented on a nightly basis, the rate is extravagant!!! This would be a GREAT place for a film star as it is completely private.

There are lots of steps and hotel has NO ELEVATOR. Hotel closes January through March.

The Villa’s interiors were designed by the celebrated Florentine interior designer, Riccardo Barthel, who used warm Mediterranean colors throughout.

All accommodations are en-suite and each has their own private outdoor gazebo - an excellent spot for enjoying an aperitif after a long day of touring.
